Tell us about your background, and how you came to found your company?
I started in the fund management industry, and moved into private equity capital raising. Throughout my finance career, I came across many who are not at their optimal mental well-being. This triggered me to search for more meaning and balance in life. In 2017-19, I went back to study Psychology and obtained a Master degree from University of Hong Kong.
What is most important to you and your organization – mission, vision, or core values? Why?
Our mission is to bring awareness and deal with the stigma of mental health at workplace. Existing EAP programs cover mental health ineffectively .We step up by offering mental health services using technology, focusing on data privacy so that users feel safe to use our service.
Can you explain briefly how your service(s)/product(s) works?
We use an App to provide 24/7 mental health support, cross border and in the native language you are comfortable with.
How has the industry been changing in recent years?
Mental health service had been a taboo, and most people do not know how well or unwell they really are. Covid and WFH working from home have highlighted the urgent need for better mental health support in corporations.
What makes you different from what’s currently available in the market?
We offer a mental health check on large corporations on an ongoing basis. Individual data are anonymized. We also have consultancy business to help corporations to implement our program and over time improve their overall company level mental well-being.
What does the future hold for your company?
We are offering our service in France, Hong Kong and Singapore across different industries, geographies and time zones. We have a lot of heavy lifting to change the mindset of large corporations’ senior management so that they uptake and engage their employees to actively take care of their own mental health.
